In This Moment brought their highly theatrical Black Widow to Rock on the Range this year. Although it was a shorter version that what’s being performed on their headlining run in smaller venues, it still packed a mighty punch. Their energized six song set focused on their last two highly successful albums ‘Blood’ and ‘Black Widow’ which worked the crowd up into a frenzy. The crowd was fully invested in their set with their chanting, fist pumping and crowd surfing. The band even released giant pink and white balloons into the crowd during the performance of “Sex Metal Barbie.”
The band has played Rock on the Range twice in the past with their debut being in 2012 on the small Jagermeister stage and then in 2013 on the PBR stage. Their 2013 performance had a crowd so large that it proved the band was worthy of a main stage performance. This year’s turnout dwarfed that 2013 crowd and proved that In This Moment has definitely elevated its game to the next level. There were other main stage bands who performed over this year’s three day event who would have loved to have had the turnout that In This Moment had.
