Alexa Melo Takes Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” On A Sexy Journey

Just in time for Halloween, Los Angeles-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alexa Melo releases her own twisted and dark rendition of Marilyn Manson’s 1996 single “The Beautiful People” available via iTunes and other streaming services on 10/30.

In June, Alexa independently released her “powerful and stylistically diverse” (-BuzzBands LA) self-titled debut album featuring the single “Bleach”. Written while she was tied up in an unpleasant major record label deal, it’s, “about fighting the outside pressure to eliminate flaws within yourself that make you who you are.”

The track premiered on Culture Collide this summer and the video debuted on tastemaker music blog Buzzbands.LA.

The 21 year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has been garnering regular radio airplay on hometown stations including KROQ, ALT 987, KCRW and KCSN, and she recently performed on KTLA-TV as part of their Mercedes Benz-sponsored ‘Street Beats’ feature.
