Multi-platinum rock band Collective Soul is saluting its fans with “Guitar Cover Giveaway” (#CSGuitarCover) to celebrate their ninth studio album, See What You Started by Continuing,and their national headlining tour. For each song on the new album, Collective Soul will be giving away 11 signed Breedlove guitars. The band is asking fans to get their acoustic, electric, bass, and any other instrument of choice and start digging into how to play the songs off the new album.
Accompanying each song, frontman Ed Roland has created videos where he talks through how to play the specific track, how the songs came into fruition, and even how he brought them to the band. An example of Roland playing “This” and introducing the #CSGuitarCover to fans can be viewed below:
Winners will be chosen weekly. To enter the sweepstakes, fans need to:
- Learn the song of the week.
- Record their cover and upload to YouTube using #CSGuitarCover.
- Include their name and email in the YouTube description.
- Email their video to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Collective Soul’s See What You Started by Continuing debuted at the top of the Billboard Alternative Album Chart. The band is currently on their national headlining tour hitting more than 40 venues across the country, including two shows in the New York area – Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY and Irving Plaza – plus The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on November 13th. The “See What You Started” tour kicked off September 29th at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL and wraps on November 29th in Columbia, SC. Remaining tour dates are listed below.
