Pear Jam Covers U2’s “A Sort Of Homecoming” In Bogota, Columbia

Pear Jam wrapped up their tour of South America and Mexico Saturday night, a nine-show trek where every concert clocked in at over three hours and the set list was packed with the band’s biggest hits, fan favorites and surprise covers. Previous shows on the jaunt have seen Pearl Jam cover Pink Floyd’s “Comfortable Numb,” John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Eagles of Death Metal’s “I Want You So Hard (Boy’s Bad News),” and at the band’s penultimate concert of the tour, a November 25th gig in Bogotá, Colombia, Eddie Vedder treated the crowd to a solo rendition of U2’s The Unforgettable Fire opener “A Sort of Homecoming.” Vedder sang a portion of the U2 track before seguing into Pearl Jam’s Yield cut “MFC.”
