Peter Frampton Featured On NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert!

Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton’s NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert” premieres today. Watch here: The performance features songs from Frampton’s new album, Acoustic Classics (out now via RED Distribution). Of the performance, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen says, “On this day I saw one of the happiest musicians walk into our building, a man filled with joy, eager to share his tunes he’s sung over and over for much of his adult life, with a fresh attitude. It was enchanting.”

Acoustic Classics continues to receive widespread critical acclaim from the New Yorker, Wall Street Journal,Huffington Post, Billboard and more. Guitar Player explains, “Frampton’s playing flows fluently throughout and the variety of exquisite tones keeps the journey interesting.” Frampton also performed on “Conan,” appeared on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” and “Artist Confidential,” and was featured on NPR’s “World Cafe.”

In addition, Frampton made three special music showcases available on Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand—the third installment will air May 13, and Frampton’s performance on DirecTV and AT&T’s new weekly music program, the Audience Network, will continue to air through May 28. The programming is available to both subscribers of DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse and the two platforms’ mobile apps.

For the first time ever, Frampton brings us stripped-down versions of his classic hits including “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Lines On My Face,” “Do You Feel Like I Do,” “Show Me The Way” and more. Acoustic Classics includes one new song, “All Down to Me,” which was co-written by Gordon Kennedy, the co-producer of Frampton’s Grammy Award-winning album Fingerprints. “All Down to Me” is the only track on the record featuring a guest musician.

On the heels of the “Peter Frampton Raw, An Acoustic Tour,” Frampton has added new headlining dates this summer as well as shows with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gregg Allman. See below or for details—more dates to be announced soon.
