This new video is a cool take on Stone Temple Pilots’ “Tumble in the Rough” by indie rockers The Tommy Marz Band. They’ve just released their sophomore album Seventy-One Trips Around the Sun earlier this month and “Tumble” is the second single/video.
The Tommy Marz Band is an alt-rock trio based in Detroit and are currently in the midst of bringing their energetic live show to new fans across the U.S.
In addition to being featured on the iTunes Home Page, their debut album Bringing Alpha charted on the iTunes Top 30 Rock Albums Chart and has continued to see success throughout all of the available outlets. The band also finished up a 100% funded Pledge Music campaign and re-released the album on vinyl.
The band has released their highly anticipated follow up to Bringing Alpha with the album Seventy-One Trips Around The Sun. This concept album mixes the bands familiar edge on songs like ”Coffee, Cigarettes and Judge Judy” with melodic guitars on “Misery” and soaring harmonies on ”Reborn” letting the listener in on Tommy’s most personal songwriting offering to date. The album also includes the bands alternative take on the Stone Temple Pilots classic ”Tumble in the Rough.”
Tommy has shared the stage with many great bands over the years including many national and regional acts including The Verve Pipe, Scott Weiland, Great White, Scott Stapp, Fuel, Brian Vander Ark, POD, The Dan Band, Everclear, Seven Mary Three, Days Of The New and LA Guns. He has also had the honor of playing on some great festivals such as The Rolling Rock Town Fair, Stars and Stripes Music Festival, Uncle Sam Jam, Riverfest, Thirsty Melon Music Festival and Dougfest.
