A Flock of Seagulls Original Lineup Reunites For First New Album Together Since 1984

Think back to the 1980s and all the music, styles, and hairstyles. No doubt, A Flock of Seagulls came to mind, right?

It’s been quite some time since the band’s original lineup recorded music together, but on July 6 a new album will be released featuring, for the first time together since 1984, Mike Score (vocals/keyboards), Paul Reynolds (guitar), Frank Maudsley (bass) and Ali Score (drums).

The band never officially “broke up,” as Mike Score continued touring and performing with a host of other musicians in recent years — but this is the first time in more than three decades that the original lineup was in the studio together.

And for A Flock of Seagulls, their new album, Ascension, is something special – it finds the original quartet reunited on a recording for the first time since 1984, with Mike Score, Ali Score, Frank Maudsley and Paul Reynolds reteaming to rework gems like “I Ran (So Far Away),” “Space Age Love Song” and “Wishing (I Had a Photograph of You)” with the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
