Album Review ~ Wicked Garden ~ ‘Already Gone’

Las Vegas based Wicked Garden have just recently released their latest EP, Already Gone and we are totally digging on it. There really isn’t much to hate on here. Distorted guitars, raspy vocals, and songs that make you want to pump your fist or raise your middle finger. Quite possibly, it could be both.

The opening track, “Already Gone” kicks the doors wide open with huge opening riffs and a thunderous rhythm section. Vocalist Dominick Muzio has this gritty, salt of the earth voice that resonates well with the music. Stellar way to kick off this release.

“I-15 South” has more of a darker and moody feel. The recording is a little less polished which brilliantly showcases the raw emotion of song, both lyrically and musically. Love the harmonies in the chorus as well. The song features a guest appearance from Todd Kern of Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

“Hey Bitch” closes out Already Gone, and in my opinion, they saved the best for last. Musically, the song has a taunting and seductive groove. Lyrically, the song is pretty straight forward, and I think most everyone who has been in a relationship that went south can relate to.

Wicked Garden are a rare breed of band these days. Their music is soulful, aggressive, and unapologetically to the point. They write music from the heart and they make damn sure you feel that! Now, these Sin City rockers, need to get back to the studio and record a full album, ASAP. This three song teaser was just not enough.  Rating: 8/10 Stars.
